Let’s now consider our fictitious Food Truck Company and where we last left off.

In our last post we found Frankie Steel had been assigned by his boss Pete Featherstone to serve the needs of hungry patrons attending a popular event kicking off in the afternoon on Friday. 

As Frankie is driving his Food Truck to this event, he hears a familiar twang from his cell phone.

Frankie’s twang means someone important sent him a text message. Frankie grabs his phone which was sitting in the cup holder, takes a quick glance, and sure enough it’s an important message from Melissa, one of his close friends.

As soon as he looked at his phone, he remembered a promise he made to his boss — no more texting and driving!  Frankie quickly puts his phone back in the drink holder and he notices that he is close to an intersection with a traffic light.

Frankie decides to stop at the intersection so he can take time to reply to Melissa, he slows down and stops his food truck at the intersection and the light is green. Frankie was so focused on reading his friend’s text message that he did not look in his rear-view mirror to see if there were any drivers behind him.

Frankie scans Melissa’s witty but short message and starts to compose a response in return and he is soon interrupted by the jarring sound of a truck horn!

The jarring sound of the truck horn startles Frankie that it causes him to drop his phone on the floor.

Frankie glances at his side view mirrors and see a truck driver making all sorts of gestures with his hands and he lays on the horn again!

Frankie is momentarily puzzled why the truck driver is blowing his horn and he unbuckles his seat belt to search for his cell phone as the sound of the truck horn continues in earnest.

Finding his phone Frankie looks once again at his side mirrors and it seems like the truck driver has turned a deep shade of red and he can’t imagine what he has done to cause the driver of the Tractor Trailer to be so upset with him. 

Frankie, with shaky hands grabs his seat belt and clicks it into place and turns his head forward and sees that the light is just turning from green to yellow.

Because Frankie is very cautious by nature, he doesn’t believe he can make it through the intersection in his Food Truck as it accelerates very slowly.  Frankie sits in his Food Truck listening to the blaring truck horn that seems to be growing progressively louder, or was that Frankie’s imagination?
